During my tenure at the US Army Medical Center of Excellence, one of my duties involved crafting storyboards for courseware development. A crucial aspect of this responsibility was effectively communicating envisioned scenes to the media team, which necessitated sourcing images that accurately depicted these scenes.
The directive was straightforward: "Search on Google for an image closely resembling the scene you are describing.All instructional designers know that this kind of "open searching" is a time suck.
The image generated by AI within approximately 60 seconds encapsulated the scene, featuring both the characters (soldiers) and the dog. I am confident that manually searching for a similar image would have consumed significantly more time.
